Humphrey is our first Male Bordeaux, home-bred by our Clarice to Temple Felson, being litter brother to our sweet Muriel!
He was one of nine puppies, I had my eye on him from a very early age, he really
stood out, he was very dark in colour, had massive bone and the sweetest nature,
he was always the first pup to come over to see me, I thought it was mutual love,
but unfortunately I soon came to realise it was not me he loved unconditionally...
it was the food bowl!! He was always hungry, the first with his head in the bowl
and the last to leave it, he always had room for just a teeny, weeny bit more.
As
a puppy Humphrey was well socialised, everyday he together with his mum, sister and
several westies, went to the local forest where all sorts of doggie friends were
made, the best game was "catch a deer" great fun but not a chance, he also went to
the village most days were he has become quite a celebrity, there are no other dogues
in our village as far as we know, well none that go shopping with their Mom anyway!!!
At
six months I was encouraged to show humphrey, it was great fun, people were friendly
and supportive, Humphrey did really well, far better than I ever could have imagined,
he gained many firsts and BOB's on the Import Register and continues to do extremely
well now we have breed classes (see show results). Humphs is also qualified for Crufts
2009!
Humphrey is a real gentle giant.
HUMPHREY IS HIP-SCORED 7/7 TOTAL 14 AND OFFERED AT STUD TO APPROVED BITCHES ONLY.
